Runamok Maple
Eric and Laura Sorkin, founders and owners of Runamok Maple, began tapping their woods in Cambridge, Vermont in 2009. For the first six years their maple crop sales were limited to the bulk market, but in 2016, with eyes set on elevating maple in new and innovative ways, Eric and Laura started our own retail line.
The focus was on creating a truly unique maple syrup product and brand. With elegant packaging, innovative flavor profiles, and the highest quality ingredients, Runamok's infused, smoked and barrel-aged maple made waves in the food world from Oprah’s Favorite Things to Saveur and Food&Wine.
The Sorkin's love of the product is equally matched by their desire for an environmentally-friendly operation. A favorite aspect of sugaring for them is that it allows them to create a high-quality, natural food while also protecting forest land. As a result, they make sure that the thousands of acres of forest their sap comes from is treated with care and managed for biodiversity, water quality and habitat.

Vermont Maple Caramel
Our velvety goat's milk caramel sauces (Cajeta) combine creamy caramel richness with the subtle tang of goat's milk to create an utterly unique, not-too-sweet dessert sauce perfectly paired with ice cream, fruit, and cheeses. Fat Toad Farm Caramel Sauces have a 18 month shelf life and should be refrigerated after opening.
Pure Vermont maple syrup infuses the caramel with a deep, earthy sweetness and a hint of warm, woodsy complexity. This touch of maple adds a distinctly Vermont twist to the traditional caramel profile. Our Vermont Maple Caramel is sweet decadence with salted nuts, baked brie and waffles.
