When I made my first hot sauce back in 2010 with my now husband, I definitely didn’t picture 13+ million people watching the biggest band in the world take on the hottest sauce I’ve ever made. But here we are.

I built this sauce for life after the show. I've been on the Hot Ones rodeo 4 times now, so I know what sticks around. Taco Vibes Only earned us our credibility with chili heads, so I built this sauce for the folks who can taste the flavor behind all of that heat.
The heat starts low. SRX's opening salvo is a roasted-umami flavor from the roast squash, tomato and smoked onion juice. Then the smoke builds with smoked serrano, which carries you into the heat build. Serranos start you off with a pleasant heat, but then it takes you to the ghost and reaper intensity. Finally, when you think that you're about to recover from the heat, the Pepper X heat takes over your tongue and pulls you into the depths.
This is a sauce built in layers. Flavor first, then heat that keeps building. I’m really proud of this one. It’s a long way from that first batch 16 years ago.
