Our collaboration with The Alchemist

“That hot sauce was fantastic, where can I get more?”

That email landed in my inbox from John Kimmich, brewmaster of The Alchemist, after I dropped off a bottle of a brand new experiment made with Heady Topper IPA. When the maker of one of the most iconic IPAs in the world asks for more, you know you’re onto something.

Fourteen years later, our Heady Topper Hot Sauce and Heady Topper Whole Seed Mustard are still two of our best sellers. We use real Heady Topper in both. In Vermont, breweries are required to destroy low-fill cans. At The Alchemist, that beer gets “destroyed” straight into our kettles instead of going down the drain.

In the Heady Topper hot sauce, bright green jalapeños meet citrusy hops and a gentle bitterness that keeps every bite lively and balanced. In the mustard, whole seeds pop with bold, hoppy aromatics, a touch of acidity, and that unmistakable Heady Topper bite. It’s layered, punchy, and distinctly Vermont.
