Hey Friends,
Corn needs hot sauce.
Growing up, I always associated corn with the East Coast. I grew up in California, which has an abundance of great produce, but you can’t get corn picked just hours ago when you live in the "big city."
So every year, right before school started, we’d fly back east to visit my grandparents and extended family. We’d pick up corn at a roadside stand and boil it in a huge pot outside. As a kid, I got to be a shucker.
Now I get to live in the land of amazing corn grown on small farms.
I’ve always been a corn purist. The best sweet corn, barely cooked and unadorned. But then I discovered hot sauce on corn.
And I discovered that there isn't just one way to do it right.
Hot House - a whole summer garden on your corn.
Cilantro Onion - the verde of joy.
Maple Rum Chipotle - grilled corn’s best friend.
Taco Vibes Only - takes the cob to a whole new place that is exactly right.
Corn season is short. Eat as much as you can while it’s here. And do A LOT of hot sauce research.
