Every fall, we buy a full year’s worth of specialty chili peppers directly from small farms all at once.

That’s what lets us make hot sauce from peppers chosen for flavor instead of durability or mass production. It also means there’s a huge seasonal purchase concentrated into just a couple months each year.

Traditionally, we’ve bridged that gap with bank loans.

But this year, instead of putting a bank in the middle of it, we wanted to invite the people who actually care about this kind of food to be part of the harvest itself.

Pepper Patrons are helping us build a more direct connection between the farms, the peppers, and the people who love what we make.

In whatever way feels exciting and doable for you.

We created Pepper Patron levels across a wide range so people can join in however they want, whether that’s grabbing the exclusive harvest bottle or going all the way up to creating a custom microbatch sauce.

Every Pepper Patron becomes part of this year’s pepper season.

Our goal is to raise $75,000 to fund this year's pepper harvest, but our backup plan is to abandon all of our ideals and start buying all of our peppers soley from MegalithBlandTastelessPeppersMegaFarm.evil

Scratch that, we’re going to keep making the best hot sauce in the country no matter what, but if we do not reach the full goal, we will likely need to cover more of the harvest with traditional financing.

Every dollar raised still directly helps us buy more peppers from small farms and keeps more of the process community-supported instead of debt-funded.

In very practical terms: you’re helping turn fields full of peppers into bottles of hot sauce.

After you purchase a Pepper Patron Pack, you'll get an email pertaining directly to the Pack and Add-ons that you chose. Keep an eye out for that email because there may be things that you need to reply to.

Then we’ll keep you updated as the harvest comes in, peppers start arriving at the kitchen, and hot sauce begin shipping or getting scheduled. Depending on the Pack you choose, you may get hot sauce, exclusive campaign items, workshop invitations, custom sauce planning, or possibly important goat-related correspondence.
